Adverbs are words that give us more information about verbs. Adverbs of time, place and manner tell us how, when, or where things take place. Most but not all adverbs end in “-ly”.The ones that do are mostly derived from adjectives.

Susan sings loudly.(the word ‘loudly’ is an adverb in this sentence and tells how Susan sings)
