A preposition is a word that expresses position. It helps in showing the connection between the subject (noun or pronoun) and the rest of the words in a sentence. Different types of prepositions give us different kinds of information. Prepositions of time, place, and manner, show us when, where, or how something happens in a sentence. Some preposition can be used to express more than one situation.
